Coinciding with the days of the blessed decade of Fajr, on Thursday, February 18, in the presence of Interior Minister Dr. Momeni, Semnan Governor Dr. Kolivand, Dr. Jelvian, CEO of Pouya Energy Holding, and a group of provincial managers, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 14-megawatt Pouya Semnan 2 solar power plant was held next to the Pouya Semnan 1 solar power plant.

This project will be built by Pouya Energy Production and Development Holding with an investment of over 300 billion tomans on a 16-hectare plot of land.

The Pouya Semnan 2 solar power plant will produce 26.5 thousand megawatt hours of electricity, which will be equivalent to the consumption of 6,500 households and will result in savings of about 7.5 million liters of fuel per year and will prevent the emission of 10,500 tons of greenhouse gases per year.

Efforts to develop green energy production nationwide

The CEO of Pouya Energy Power Plant Production and Development Holding said in this regard: “Given the favorable promise made by the governor and governor of Semnan, the land required for subsequent projects will also be made available to us. Accordingly, we have planned to put two other projects into operation; so that this project will enter production in June, the second project in August, and the third project in September, and we will witness an increase in electricity production capacity until the peak of next summer.”

Reducing costs in implementing projects

Dr. Jelivan added regarding lowering the cost of implementing the company’s projects: Currently, the average cost of implementing solar power plant projects in the world is about 400 to 420 euros per kilowatt of electricity production capacity. However, we have been able to reduce this cost to less than 350 euros in implementing our projects.
