With the opening of the second phase of Shahid Bakri Semnan combined cycle power plant, owned by Pouya Energy Company, one of the subsidiary companies of “Vamaaden” Holding, two 183 MW lines were added to the country’s power grid. The investment amount of this development project was about 3 thousand billion tomans, equivalent to 90 million euros.

In the third phase, the construction of two 180 MW steam units with an investment of 310 million euros is on the agenda of the company. The location of the power plant has been determined and its geotechnical operations are underway. Also, the engineering and the contract have been done and it is expected that the construction of the power plant will be completed in the next two years. With the implementation of the third phase of this project, the final capacity of the power plant will reach 1100 MW
