Seyed Mohammad Zaman Javalan, CEO of Poya Energy Holding, said: This power plant will produce 720 MW of electricity per hour with the investment of Iran Mining and Metals Development Company in the form of two 366 MW blocks and 4 183 MW gas units with an investment of 80 million euros.
Javalan added: Three other units of Semnan power plant, March 1400, March 1401, and April 8, 1402, have been put into operation, and with the operation of the fourth unit of Semnan power plant, the electricity production of the power plant has doubled from 366 megawatts.
Pointing out that the completion of this power plant, especially the implementation of the second unit within five months, is a world record, he added: This power plant was set up according to the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Security and to supply 10,000 megawatts of electricity needed by the country.
He emphasized: Shahid Bakri power plant in Semnan guarantees no power cuts and for industries such as steel, it will not be subject to blackout management restrictions during peak summer consumption, and on the other hand, the transit right to the output energy is not granted to the industry that buys the electricity produced by this power plant.
The CEO of Poyaenergy Holding said: All the preliminary tests of grid stability were done for all four units with both gas fuel and diesel fuel, which is the back-up fuel, and the Ministry of Energy approved it.
Pointing out that the total workforce of the four units of the power plant is 105 specialists, he added: 90% of the equipment used in this power plant has been internalized.
The CEO of Poyaenergy Holding said: The steam unit of this power plant is also being developed as a 360 megawatt development project with an estimated cost of 270 million euros.
